PANORAMA Design Group bagged the 2021 Asia-Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) Gold Prize in the Entertainment & Leisure category with their project, Physical 2.0. Combining the two popular social activities among young people, Physical 2.0 aims to create a novel experience for fitness with clubbing elements.

The main entrance introduces an abstract, futuristic space defined by dynamic architectural geometrical shapes and flowing fluorescent neon lights. A portal that brings visitors from the real world to a funky dimension.
In the reception area, a multidimensional mirror steel ceiling reflects the visitors’ body shape from different perspectives. This allows professional fitness consultants to generate a custom-made fitness regime in the consultation room.

The open gym is a charcoal grey environment with a multifaceted purple ceiling LED flowing light to align the posture and background music to hype the frequency. Hence, visitors can exercise more intensely along with the lights and beats.
The steady flowing LED lights guide visitors to private aerobics areas, with patterned soundproof glass defines classrooms with varied roles. Although the open space and the private area are coherent, a certain level of privacy is still visible.

The indoor swimming pool area comprises black painted glass immersed in aqua blue lighting. Ceiling LED lines steadily flow from one side of the pool to the other, allowing guests to follow the reflection in the water for a linear swimming course. This space helps swimmers achieve the same impact as expert swimmers in training.

After exercising, visitors will head to a fluorescent yellow changing room to cleanse the body and mind of leisure. They can change back to their daily attire in this backstage dressing room imitation. The green fluorescent channel results in overlapping blue and yellow lights as the exit, where visitors follow the photosensitive and dynamic lines connecting the ceiling to the ground in order to return to their normal routine.
