Feathr and Superdwell Collaborate For Metaverse Wallcoverings Collection

March 24, 2023

Feathr, specialising in artisan wallpapers, has partnered with premier metaverse interior design company Superdwell to unveil a new collection of virtual wall coverings for the metaverse and virtual reality. The collaboration combines the exceptional design and craftsmanship of Feathr with Superdwell’s expertise in creating immersive, hyper-realistic virtual environments for interior design and architecture brands.

The new collection features three virtual wallcoverings based on three exquisite real chinoiserie wallpapers: Kubla Khan, Swoop, and Takeda. These wallpapers have been transformed into stunning animated digital twins that bring the beauty and elegance of chinoiserie to life in the metaverse and virtual reality.

Kubla Khan is a classic saffron yellow chinoiserie wallpaper, featuring peacocks and climbing plants that evoke a sense of opulence and luxury. Swoop features a flock of herons, subtly patterned with paisley, creating a sense of serenity and calmness. Takeda features a cherry tree in full bloom, capturing the fleeting beauty of spring.

Each of the metaverse wallcoverings has been meticulously crafted to create a virtual artwork that is both captivating and enchanting. The animated details, such as butterflies, birds, and blossoms, add a level of depth and realism that is unparalleled in the metaverse and virtual reality. The collection is also being launched simultaneously as limited edition NFTs, allowing Feathr customers to coordinate their virtual and real interior design schemes.

“We are thrilled to partner with Superdwell to bring our exquisite chinoiserie wallpapers to life in the metaverse,” said Tom Puukko, Creative Director of Feathr. “Our collaboration has created a collection of virtual wallcoverings that is both innovative and timeless, and we are excited to see how people will use them to create stunning virtual environments.”

“We are excited to work with Feathr to bring their exceptional design to the metaverse,” said Mat Dobson, Co-Founder of Superdwell. “The combination of Feathr’s craftsmanship and our expertise in creating immersive virtual environments has resulted in a truly premium and high-class collection of virtual wallcoverings that will elevate any virtual space.”

The Feathr and Superdwell collection of virtual wallcoverings can be explored in a virtual 3D gallery, accessible via desktop, mobile devices and virtual reality headsets.
