Design Shanghai 2026 to Showcase Over 500 Brands

January 2, 2026

On 25 November 2025, Design Shanghai announced the launch of its 13th edition. From 19–22 March 2026, the event will return to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre with fully upgraded content and experiences that continue to set new benchmarks for design in Asia. Centred around four core sectors, namely furniture & lighting, kitchen, bathroom & systems design, living & lifestyle, and new materials & applications.

Design Shanghai 2026 will showcase outstanding works from over 500 design brands across more than 20 countries and regions, creating a comprehensive platform that connects nature, craftsmanship, and human-centred thinking. Special curated features, including TALENTS, Made in JDZ, Beyond Craft, Collectible Design & Art, and Materials First, will be presented alongside two major industry forums — the KOHLER · Design Shanghai Global Design Conference and the CMF Conference — offering a multi-layered source of inspiration for design professionals and enthusiasts worldwide.

Zhuo Tan, Managing Director of Clarion Events Ltd and Event Director of Shanghai, noted at the press conference: “As we enter our thirteenth year, we recognise that the value of design lies not in grand gestures but in how it connects with people and enriches everyday living. Next March, we look forward to exploring this more comfortable, inclusive, and nature-aligned way of life with our visitors and partners, while continuing to bring Chinese design to a wider global stage.”
