The 13th edition of Design Shanghai will take place at the iconic Shanghai Exhibition Centre from 19 to 22 March 2026. This updated schedule reflects a strategic decision to enhance the event experience for exhibitors, visitors and partners alike.
The Shanghai Exhibition Centre, with its striking architecture and central location, offers the perfect backdrop to elevate the show’s ambitions. Its unique indoor and outdoor spaces will be fully utilised to provide a seamless and engaging experience for visitors and exhibitors.

Returning to the Shanghai Exhibition Centre honours our origins and responds to the design community’s wish to bring design back to the heart of the city. The historic venue adds cultural depth, embedding contemporary design within Shanghai’s urban fabric. This move highlights our evolving role as a platform deeply connected to both our audience and the city.”

In 2026, Design Shanghai will further embed itself within the city through a lively programme of satellite events across Shanghai, spreading creative energy and strengthening ties between the global design community and the city’s cultural heartbeat. More than a return, this is a fresh start. The event will continue to lead Asia’s design discourse with curated excellence, immersive storytelling and a truly global outlook.
At the June 2025 show, over 76,000 visitors attended alongside 600+ brands from 30+ countries, reaffirming Design Shanghai’s status as a hub of creativity and innovation.
